NCLH Shares

Have any Regent (or Oceania) cruisers invested in NCLH shares?

The shares have shown significant growth in the last 12 months (65% increase in share price) :)

No dividends? but they do offer shareholder benefits of between $50 to $250 on-board credit per stateroom depending on cruise length.

However the small print indicates that this shareholder benefit "is not combineable with any other offer"

Since we invariably book with some form of discount or offer, would this shareholder benefit ever be awarded?

Have fellow cruisers any experience of investment in NCLH........or forecasts of future NCLH share performance?? ;)

Being in the investment business, and having consumer discretionary companies as one of my specialties, NCLH would not be my first choice even though Regent and Oceania are 1/2 at the moment in our selection process.

Carnival appears to me to be the best choice for it's wide diversification. The problem as an investor is that all the sensible choices have appreciated significantly due to a better consumer environment in the US and lower oil prices

Thanks for your observations.

Yes, we have held Carnival Corp shares for a number of years and that is why we were considering other cruiseline stocks.

Price of Carnival Corp tends to be erratic but generally growing; Very good dividends.

Have used Carnival Corp's OBC offer on Cunard and Princess in the past and hope to use for Seabourn in the future if we can find an itinerary/price that suits.

Carnival's shareholder benefits come without the weasel-worded caveats and restrictions that seem to apply with NCLH.
