Towncar T Posted September 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2015 We are in a Celebrity suite on Solstice for our upcoming New Zealand cruise. The blurb mentions an in-suite coffee service with espresso and cappuccino being available. I just wondered if that referred to a machine in the suite or do we have to ring the butler/room service every time we want a coffee? Anyone had experience of this? Rare chemmo Posted September 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Ring the butler, get the lift to bistro and if you have a drinks package pick one up yourself or go to Michael's club where they also have wonderful coffee! We always felt a little guilty phoning the butler with suit rooms being so near the lift and bistro being there as the door opened, our butler on the other hand was horrified to see us bringing our own coffees back to the room! We tended to have coffee delivered by the butler in the morning but then later in the day, especially on sea days, we would often mid afternoon go for a stroll around and finish in Michael's for a coffee, there would usually be a few other people in and the atmosphere was so relaxing. So no espresso/cappuccino maker in the Celebrity Suite then?
chicotam Posted September 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2015 No, no machine in the room. We asked our butler to bring a carafe of espresso early in the morning and leave it on the coffee table. It was so nice to wake up and have it right there for you. Rare chemmo Posted September 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Sorry, no machines in the suites. Perhaps they think we will tire ourselves out making our own! We have sometimes ordered a flask of coffee for top ups and on the Equinox our butler brought us a kettle and range of tea bags when we commented how much we enjoyed the afternoon tea delivered daily. maggie.1008 Posted September 16, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Having a Butler to bring me my latte in the morning is the best part of being in a suite for me.
