No $500 but $100

A while back we got our first GC. A $500 when no $100 were available. Now I wonder if this was a good decision. Cruise is paid for, and we really don't run up a large S&S bill. Only thing left is prepaid tips.

So i will have to still bring cash to cover in port expenses and private excursions.

I have read some get cash thru the casino. We really don't gamble so I'm not sure how that works. Perhaps someone could explain this.

I guess we will just keep the card for the next cruise to use for deposit.

I added a $500 Verizon gift card to my account to use as OBC on the Fantasy in March 2015. I still had a little more than $100 left on the last night so I went to the candy shop and bought a $100 carnival gift card. I just used it last week towards booking another spring break cruise.

Just go to casino, put you card in slot machine, set up account , draw an amount from your onboard account, spin one or two times and cash out to your card. Go to cashier and get money. You can always get one of the casino host to show you how to do it. That is what we did the first time. Don't remove your card until the cash has been put back in your players account.

I have heard of people going to GS and telling them you want to get cash from your onboard account. I have never done this, so not familiar with that option.
