Jeepenfun Posted September 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Out of 3,000+ passengers there always going to be someone that says "Hold my beer, watch this!!!" :D
ATL_Miami_Cruiser Posted September 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2015 From what I've seen Carnival is much more tolerant of wild behavior, but I'm sure they do have their limits and will toss someone off if the problem is bad enough. I've seen drunk people escorted by security to "Carnival jail" on the ship and later let go after they sobered up. I've also seen a drunk person pee all over the floor in front of the lido deck buffet and only get escorted back to their cabin. They were never thrown off the ship, but it possible they were put on the "never return again" list.
slim501 Posted September 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2015 I have never seen it on Carnival, but my parents told me about a woman on their last Celebrity cruise that was kicked off for attacking a bartender. She apparently went over the bar and was swinging at him.
DocF Posted September 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2015 Well, when I was tending bar, if a customer came over the bar, he/she/it met the butt end of a sawed off cue stick. It might cost a worker on a cruise ship his job, but there is absolutely no excuse for that and it should be considered a criminal act by a passenger. Based on what I have witnessed, Carnival would need to be tossing a dozen or more passengers each sailing and would not make a dent in the behavior issues. However, they are now at least taking some steps to curb the flow of hard liquor brought onto the ships. They should do more and still have room for improvement. I am sure that some misbehave, just nowhere near as often as you make it out to be.
katiel53 Posted September 22, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 22, 2015 Many years ago, a group of about 20 college kids that were on a trip after graduation got a bit carried away every night. They caused a lot of trouble by being loud and obnoxious. When the ship got to Dominica, they were all put off the ship. I don't have a clue as to how they got home from there as it is such a small island and I don't know if there is even an airport there or if there was one then. People were cheering while they were being escorted off the ship. That's the only time in all my cruises on many lines that I have seen people kicked off.
