Redeeming gift card to pay for cruise through ta help

I have been playing phone tag with my ta to make final payment. I plan to make part of the payment with carnival gift cards I got from aarp. So he calls me but I wasn't at home where the cards are and have to call him back. He tells me in 12 years he has never heard of a gift card and thinks I can't use them. Told him to go figure it out. What have other people's experiences been? This is a big box TA I have a hard time believing they've never processed a gift card. Probably in top 5 TA in terms of size and volume

There is a drop down box on the TA payment page and he can drop down and select "Carnival Gift Card."

Copy and send this to your agent. This is what I do...

 

1. The agent should go into goccl and open up the reservation.

 

2. Click on "Payment" then "Make Payment"

 

3. Under the drop down menu 'Payment type' select Carnival gift card"

 

I've had no problem applying these on a multitude of bookings. However
