funinthesun1964 Posted September 26, 2015 Author #76 Share Posted September 26, 2015 Some beach views! Going back to our pool loungers, passing through the bar area. We had fun here. We met another couple who lives around 10 miles from us . Also some other people from New York. It was quiet and fun. We finally said we had enough, it was soo hot and we felt like we were going to get burned up! We walked across the street to get the bus back. I took this pic of the entrance way (and myself, lol) The taxis and public buses look the same. A taxi driver stopped and we told him we were waiting for the public bus. So he said he would take us back to the ship for the same price.

Namelocg Posted September 26, 2015 #80 Share Posted September 26, 2015 Great review so far. Since you are beer drinkers and already familiar with the public bus, the next time you are in Grand Cayman go to the bus depot and tell them that you want to go to the Caybrew brewery. The bus drops you off right across the street. For $6.00 you get a tour and 5 beers. The tours start every hour, I think between 9 AM and 3 or 4 PM. It was lots of fun and you can't beat the price. In the "store'" where you get the beers they have some great t shirts and other stuff you can buy. When you are done just take the bus in the opposite direction back to town. funinthesun1964 Posted September 28, 2015 Author #88 Share Posted September 28, 2015 So, we had stopped at a little shop at right before we caught the tender back to the ship, DH wanted a shot glass. We didn't have too long to wait for the tender, and just waited about 5 or 10 minutes for the boat to fill. We were back on the ship and wanted lunch. I opted for the grill and got a corned beef and pastrami, while DH went to the Pizza Pirate and got a calzone. They had the "old" pizza menu on the Paradise and this included ceasar salad also. We hung out at Serenity for a while then. It looked as if rain might approach. It did rain for about five minutes. We walked to the main part of the lido deck and found a couple of empty loungers by the main pool. Of course, I had to have a drink. I guess this is a Long Island? It started raining again here. This time a downpour and the place pretty much cleared out. But we found a sitting area around the edge, it was covered.

funinthesun1964 Posted September 28, 2015 Author #90 Share Posted September 28, 2015 We headed back inside to get showered and ready for dinner. We stopped off at Atrium Bar to have a drink first. The talented Jimmy was performing. I ordered a french martini for dinner, but they didn't have martini glasses ready at the time, so they served it in the glass you see in front of me. funinthesun1964 Posted September 28, 2015 Author #91 Share Posted September 28, 2015 We went to dinner and there were the tables that we met the previous night. There were still 4 empty seats at the table. We had enjoyable conversation with the other couple again, so it was nice. I did not get any pictures from dinner this night and do not remember what I had to eat. It may have been the Indian Vegetarian Dinner this night. I usually order that once on every cruise. My husband probably would have had the flat iron steak. Food was good and service was excellent again. After dinner, we browsed the shops and ran into the couple we had met at the muster drill. We talked with them for a few minutes and then decided we would meet up in the theater. There was a "single ladies dance class" going on. And, as it says in the fun times, you don't have to be single and you don't have to be a lady. We saw all kinds of people there. There was bingo pre-sales at 8:30. I had never played Bingo on the ship, so here was a first-time thing for me! Also at 8:30, gender showdown started. This was pretty funny and entertaining, and I thought it was going to be stupid. My DH somehow gets roped into these things, and I have pics! The following act was from a challenge called "freeze-frame". They had to act out a specific scenario and then freeze. One of the hosts, Michelle, came around to ask what each person was then doing. No, I don't remember what all the specific scenes were, but I really did get a few laughs out of this! Also, it was fun to run into the fellow teammates at different times in the cruise. We ended up talking to one of the guys for a long way in port the next day. A good time. Afterwards, I played bingo. But darn, did not win anything. I kind of liked it though. I may do this again, I know the chances of winning are not very good, and then the prizes aren't always that great.
funinthesun1964 Posted September 28, 2015 Author #92 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Then was the Love and Marriage show, something we haven't seen since our first or second cruise. The cruise director makes it. I thought that Steve Cassel was hilarious. Of course, they picked a couple that were newlyweds, one about 25 years and one 50 years +. They were the funniest ones. funinthesun1964 Posted September 28, 2015 Author #93 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Tonight was the Mexican Deck Party and Buffet. We went up first to listen to some music. We joined in the Congo for a little while!! I'm ashamed to say that I was a little bit hungry and had some food items! Shame on me! The Ice Carving: There was plenty of food! I took this picture of the pizza place menu, just to clear any confusion about the pizza served on the Paradise.

I wish I would have asked him to punch a hole in my card, but no, had to wait until I got on the ship and went to Guest Services....
