Non AI Beach Recommendations

we are sailing on the NAO in October, visiting Cozumel, Belize and Roatan. Belize and Roatan appear to have beaches with a variety of bars and restaurants in one area (i.e. West Bay). Cozumel seems to just have "beach clubs" everywhere. Are there any beaches one can visit and just rent a chair, and buy a beer at a bar, without being at a "club"?

Paradise Beach charges $3 admission/chair rental and offers good food/drinks/service & facilities -- taxi each way will run about $17 each way for up to 4 passengers in the cab.

 

Money Bar is closer and offers great snorkeling from the shore, but no beach. Rental gear & guides if you need it plus good food, drinks, service and facilities. Taxi will be $10-11 each way

Carlos and Charlies beach club. Free admission chairs are free as long as you get a drink first. Food is good too

Yes it's a a pretty short can ride from the pier. Just make sure you tell them the beach club or you will and up at the bar in town

Mr. Sanchos was a great beach day. You can go to the pay-as-you-go side instead of the AI. Prices were reasonable.
