There are limited power outlets in most rooms. You can either add a power bar or extension cord, or you can get some UK to US adapters ... 6pk at amazon for under $8 ...

or if you're from the UK and all your stuff is with the UK style plug, you can get the opposite adapter (US to UK) ... non grounded 8pk for $6 ...

I bought small fans (ladies) and scarves that you wet to keep cool (men), small star night lights, towel pegs to hold the towels down on the deck chairs.
