twin123185 Posted October 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2015 There are water options and also a train. Easy enough to find them by googling. Can't help with schedules though. Especially New Year's Eve.
euro cruiser Posted October 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2015 The easiest and, in my opinion, most comfortable way is a high speed ferry. They depart from Molo Beverello, which is adjacent to the cruise port, and take about 45 minutes to get to Sorrento. The fare is €12,30 each way. The first ferry of the day departs at 9 AM; you can see the schedule here: http://www.alilauro.it/orari-e-tariffe?route_group_id=3 Less expensive, but requiring more time and effort, is the local train. The station (called Porta Nolana) is a little less than a mile and a half from the cruise port so most people take the tram to the station. The NA-5 Integrato ticket covers both the tram ride and the train and it costs €4,50 each way.
