mellywils84 Posted October 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2015 Hello all! We're planning on taking a viking river cruise in Europe (probably the Rhine getaway tour) and saw this video ( ) which got us pretty excited! Are there any tips that we should take into consideration when we're planning our trip? Best time of the summer to go, best itinerary, etc? From the video, it sounds super relaxing and easy! Thanks so much in advance for your help!

lahlah57 Posted October 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2015 We took the Viking Embla on the Grand European which was 2 weeks in 2013. Fabulous time and we were there the end of June thru July! Viking took such good care of us and it was a magical cruise. Now it can be port intensive cause the tours are included:D Weather could not be any more perfect! Luckily we were always back before dinner and had the rest of the evening to relax. Viking is a wonderful product. We also did China with them and wanted for nothing;)
Rebel54 Posted October 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2015 Come over to the River Cruise section. My only caution about summer is that you have to worry about low water issues which might cause you to have to be bused do some of your locations.
