Has anyone used the hop on hop off bus and how did they find their way to a bus stop. try using Trip Advisor to get updated information, like how the HO HO is (when I checked a year ago, it wasn't that good). There are also a number of videos on youtube that detail the procedures for using the subway / train system in Tokyo. There is one train line (JR Yamanote) that goes in a circle around the city that stops at most of the main attractions. It might be easier if you purchase a pass rather than buying individual tickets each time you use the train. When you get off the train, I would remember where you get off so that when you want to continue, you know where to go. The big train stations have many levels and train lines so it's easy to get lost, never mind finding your way out of the train station. Most of the signs are also in English and you can get an app on your smart phone that will translate Japanese signs into English. Finally, information centers at the larger train stations can help and your hotel can point you in the right direction. Hope this helps.

The cruise terminal for large ships is located in Yokohama about 1/2 hour by train from Tokyo. If so, there are a number of things to do in Yokohama that you can take a taxi or train to. ROCruiser Posted October 13, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2015 If you are asking about Yokohama, you can basically walk or use the Minato Mirai subway system within the city. There is also the Akai Kutsu buses which has two different routes and cost 100Y each trip or 500Y day pass. http://yokohama-bus.jp/akaikutsu/en/index.html Here are some photos on our turnaround day. We walked and used the subway, very easy.
