This may be a silly question... If you have MTD and can't make the dining time 1 night due to a later excursion, can you still dine in the restaurant using Anytime Dining?

No, if they allowed that, then everyone who wasn't able to select YTD would just use that as an excuse.

 

You have to give your cabin number when you go into YTD and they know if you are assigned to that or not. They will turn you away.

Unfortunately no you can't. It sounds like a great idea but if this were allowed on late port nights the wait would be outrageous and it would be unfair to the people who picked anytime dining who would now have a extremely long wait due to all the extra set dining time people.

Depending on the ship, when we run into this circumstance, we often use that evening to try a specialty restaurant. Otherwise, plan on room service, lido deck buffet or a pizza night!

We asked both times in advance and our maitre d arranged for us to do it. I didn't expect a yes either time, but who knows until you ask.

The maitre d' & hostess aboard the Breeze allowed us to use anytime dining twice when we asked them.

Was not a problem at all.

I always use YTD then you can eat in the MDR from 5:45 to 10:00
