twoflyers Posted October 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2015 We've booked a O/V GTY on the Eclipse and were assigned a handicap accessible cabin. We have checked other CC posts, but cannot seem to find pictures of the bathroom/showers for these cabins. Just need to know if there are cabinets and shelf space for toiletries. We don't want to have to purchase (and pack) an "over the door" hanging unit if it is not needed. Thanks.
excitedofharpenden Posted October 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2015 Yes, there are cabinets each side of the mirror (regular cabins just have one) and under counter storage each side too. Phil
dorisis Posted October 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2015 Accessible cabins have large roll in showers (no ledge) with a seat and hand held shower and grab bars. There is usually less space for toiletries than in regular cabins, that over the door gizmo IS handy.
excitedofharpenden Posted October 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2015 They did a better job of the accessible cabins on the S-Class ships and as I said there is actually more storage in the bathroom than a standard cabin. Phil
Rare Essiesmom Posted October 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2015 Go to http://www.cruisedeckplans.com. Click on Celebrity, then Silhouette - will be the same as Eclipse. Go down to the inside cabins, click on the handicapped cabins. There will be pictures of HC cabins and good pictures of the bathroom (will be the same in an OV as inside). judyfssw Posted October 23, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2015 Just a note about the overthedoor thingy, we brought one on the Eclipse last year and the bathroom door was too thick for the hangers so I couldn't use it if I wanted too. The good news is that there is plenty of storage in the BR and you don't need one.
