New GCT Itinerary

GCT has a special new itinerary for two dates on their Great Rivers cruise in 2016. I booked as soon as I saw it. The cruise is called 'New Perspective' includes different stops with new experiences for those who have traveled this itinerary before.

The main reason I booked is it now has more than 70 hours of daylight sailing.

Many travelers prefer more port time but I'm a cruising addict and enjoy watching the passing scenery with glass of wine and conversions with my fellow travelers.

I have had a quick look at the intinerary online. Certainly nice. It is a great idea to include Pfalzgrafenstein as an optional visit. As far as I know it it the only castle in the Rhine (on a small island). An old toll station and nice to experience.

I also like that they hike up to the Lorelei rock. Quite strenuous potentially, though, depending on where they drop you off with the coach.

And "Äppelwoi" (apple cider) in Frankfurt is a nice change from all the beer and wine along the Rhine and Main. :)

Good to see a company adding a variety to stops.
