MarkBearSF Posted October 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) A friend with a birthday will be cruising with us on an upcoming QM2 crossing. (I guess we ALL have birthdays, whether or not we choose to celebrate them. In this case, her birthday will be celebrated while aboard). We're dining in Britannia. Is there a way I can request a small birthday cake for her? If so, what would be the best way to do this? MarkBearSF Posted October 26, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) You can always speak to the Mtr'd, they are wonderful and helpful. This was my first inclination. But it's been a few years and I've noticed how many lines have turned such things into a packaged product that can be ordered (and dearly paid for) in advance. Certainly, such a request would thrill the Grills - but thank you for confirming that this could be easily accomplished in the MDR. Anyone else have recent experience to share? Rare LadyL1 Posted October 26, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2015 You go to the Purser's desk and order the cake. They have 3 sizes and priced accordingly. This is what we had to do last year on QE, and I expect that this is still the way to go about it. Have a great crossing with something to celebrate. Host Hattie Posted October 26, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 26, 2015 Have you checked your Voyage Personaliser? I'm sure I've seen cakes as part of the gift collection.
