FloridaTourist Posted April 27, 2016 Author #26 Share Posted April 27, 2016 We are on the Oosterdam right now. Did both and they were excellent. Would do them both again. If on the Oosterdam ask for Mini. She is sounding and cute. Really enjoyed her service. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Rare Btimmer Posted April 27, 2016 #27 Share Posted April 27, 2016 We resisted doing the specialty restaurants until a few years ago. Now we make sure we do the Pinnacle and Canaletto and Tamarind (if available and it's our favorite). I'm even going to try the Pinnacle for lunch in a few weeks on the K-dam. rebeccalouiseagain Posted April 27, 2016 #28 Share Posted April 27, 2016 The regular menu is better. We did both.
just_cruising_along Posted April 27, 2016 #29 Share Posted April 27, 2016 I think the question to ask, would you be likely to go to Le Cirque in NYC or Las Vegas (or one of its locations outside of the US) if you had the chance? Would you go if it was offered at half-price? If so, this wonderful dinner on a HAL ship is something you should try. HAL uses the same "monkey" plates and has the recipe for the CRÈME BRÛLÉE at the bottom of the dish once you have finished eating it. Listed wines by the bottle or pairings are reasonable. And you can always order wine from the Pinnacle or MDR wine list. Whatever you decide, have a great trip.
Marseydotes Posted April 28, 2016 #30 Share Posted April 28, 2016 Can we also reserve the Pinnacle and Canaletto using the web site or phone number? And, how far in advance of a trip do they begin to take reservations? (Ours is July!)

(Ours is July!) Yes you can book Pinnacle and Canaletto online and phone. Check the HAL website now; it should be available. I have a trip in Sept, that I can reserve dining options. blizzardboy Posted April 28, 2016 #32 Share Posted April 28, 2016 You can walk in to the Caneletto about any time unless you have a large group. I think we made reservations once and haven't bothered since. We always have a great meal with service to match.
