Canadian_J Posted October 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2015 I'm on the Liberty next week (which does have the new internet plans) and am planning to get the Premium package. Does anyone know if music streaming (Apple Music, Spotify, etc) is supported for that package? I know it isn't included in the Value package and that video streaming isn't allowed, but haven't found a firm answer on music streaming. Also, how does sharing wi-fi access work? If I let my cabin mate use my log in, I assume they can use my access as long as another device isn't currently connected? So by that logic I couldn't use an iPhone and iPad at the same time? Thanks! kublaieod Posted October 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Bumping this and hoping someone knows the answer! I used the new internet on the sunshine in September and I was able to stream live VIDEO (NFL Sunday Ticket). So the bandwidth is definitely there. I never tried a streaming music service. I did get the 99.00 one. FWIW

That's the package we're planning on getting as well, so that's encouraging. I'll share my experience when I get back for anyone else who might be wondering! Canadian_J Posted October 27, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted October 27, 2015 you can have any one device logged in at a time. Often my sisters would use it ( recent cruise we stayed in same stateroom 3 of us) and if i tried to log in, i would get a message saying ( another device is currently logged in) you then get an option, leave this device logged in, or disconnect other device and continue with your log in the plan is for the stateroom, anyone can use it, just limited to ONE device at a time. So i would do what i had to do, then others would log in when im not logged in guest services explained it matters not to them who owns what device... the plan is paid for and its for whatever devices are in teh stateroom, as long as its one at a time as a matter of fact, we were in serenity and my friend needed to check an email quickly, she was in a different stateroom she used her phone to log in while we were all in serenity area. she logged in with my information and sent the one urgent email. word has it that people with the unlmited plans are hardly ever logging off, so several people using one plan means nothing to them its sad people dont log off tho, why stay connected and drain bandwith ship wide if not necessary but to answer your question, you buy the plan, you are actually entitled to be connected 24/7 for the entire cruise, so havign someone else log in and use your plans means nothing to them Thank you for the thorough reply. That's what I was expecting, so I appreciate you validating that.
NoName Posted October 27, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 27, 2015 So when did Liberty get the new internet? I thought it was supposed to be at the end of the year? Can anyone confirm that Liberty has the new plans now?
Rare Honolulu Blue Posted October 27, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 27, 2015 So when did Liberty get the new internet? I thought it was supposed to be at the end of the year? Can anyone confirm that Liberty has the new plans now? I just got off the Liberty last week and I can confirm it has the new plans. I think it just got them very recently; perhaps in the last month. It also, I think, has new computers to use them on - a couple near the excursions desk on 3, and four or so on Promenade just aft of the casino.
