lizardhowson Posted November 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) Maybe if you are in really good physical shape :D It's about 7 miles according to Google Maps Edited November 1, 2015 by lizardhowson
waywyrd Posted November 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2015 No way would I attempt that walk. We're not in bad shape, but the heat and the traffic kept our happy behinds in a nice air-conditioned taxi. :p
Beach710 Posted November 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2015 From the TA board : "there is nothing of interest within walking distance of the terminal but there are regular taxi drivers outside who can take you into Puerto Plata which is definitely worth a visit. Negotiate a fee first."

tncruisergurl Posted November 1, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 1, 2015 We just got back from Amber Cove. They have a very very nice free pool area. You can pay $8 for a umbrella rental. Free water slides. $12 for the zip line that goes over the pool and you can do it all day long. Not many store are open yet. We loved the pool area though. No beach, but we didn't miss it. You can book an excursion to a beach through carnival.
joellebridgers Posted November 17, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 17, 2015 If you do the RIU excursion, they have pools, including a swim up, and a beach for use.
