What Category Outside On QM2 Have Picture Windows?

The standard oceanview rooms on the QM2 have either a large porthole (see page 81 of the current 2005 deluxe Cunard brochure) or they have a large rectangular window (approx. 3.5 ft. x 2.25 ft.) A rule of thumb as to if the standard outside room has the porthole or the larger window is, the farther forward on the ship the room is the more likely it will have a porthole. Price does not matter either. The current C4 rooms have the larger windows while the more expensive C1 rooms have both types. No passenger staterooms on the QM2 have deadlights for use during rough weather.

All balcony rooms, Princess and Queen's Grill rooms have large plate glass windows and doors.

All of the portholes in passenger areas are sealed tight on the QM2. Now, on the QE2 at least some of the portholes can be open with the right equipment. Also on the lower decks the QE2 has deadlights over her portholes.
