Ariyel Posted November 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Checking the weather report for our upcoming port day in Puerto Rico and it looks like there's a better than even chance it will be raining on us! I had just planned a walking tour of the forts, but I'm not sure that'll be so fun in the rain. Any thoughts or advice for better ideas for a rainy day? alfaeric Posted November 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2015 It rains all the time in San Juan- especially in the wet season. Keep walking, carry an umbrella. Funny side story- we were going to leave Puerto Rico quite a long time ago- and that day, the new governor was being sworn in. The ceremony was on the lawn of El Morro.... outside. It started to rain. Nobody blinked an eye or paused. it stopped pretty quickly.
Aviator of the Seas Posted November 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2015 I second alfaeric. We have what we call here hit and miss showers. It can be raining on one side of a street but not on the other. And Old San Juan buildings all have second floor balconies under which you can shelter for a few moments while the showers pass. Additionally, the tropical wave we just had has almost blown over.

OCruisers Posted November 6, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Normally, the rain will come and go. If it's one of those "rain all day" times which can and do happen, staying on the ship would not be a bad decision.
