Dolphin Swim-cancun Or Cozumel???

My family and I will be cruising on the NCL Dream in February 2006 and are interested in doing a dolphin swim. Looking for any suggestions or opinions on whether it is better in Cancun or Cozumel. Also, are there any private tours for this in lieu of booking through the ship? Thanks!

The same company runs the encounters at both places, so the experience differs only in the location. On Cozumel, you go to Chakanaub park, while in Cancun you go to Isla Mujeres across the bay from Cancun.

 

I prefer Cozumel only because in addition to the dolphin encounter, there is alot to do at Chakanaub - like excellent snorkeling and water sports.

we enjoyed our "belly rides" at the Chankanaab National Park in Cozumel immensely :) - snorkeling was great, too :cool:

I agree that Cozumel is the better bet. There is less of a chance of rough seas in Cozumel than there is in Cancun, and the snorkeling is vastly superior. ;)

Cozumel gets my vote. Cancun is nice, but Cozumel boarders on the incredible. NMNita
