Social Internet pkg and iPhone

I am only interested in purchasing the social pkg on our next cruise if you can use it to iMessage other iPhone users. My DD and Hubby both have iPhones as well and it would be nice to be able to find them on the ship when we are in different loacations and keep in contact with my mom who will be at home!

I was on the conquest last May and was able to iMessage with the social pkg

I thought only 1 user could be hooked up at a time to the wifi? How would iMessage work if that is the case?

We both had the package but also we were able to iMessage family that wasn't on the cruise

This worked well for us but each user has to purchase their own package.

depends on the length of the cruise - typically $5/day or anywhere from $18-$25 for the whole cruise depending on how long it is.

 

FYI they will not "tell" you that iMessage will work, in fact sometimes they have specifically said it DOESNT work ... not sure why, but it WILL work as long as you have wifi. I used it to send messages to both people who were on board as well as people who were home.

 

FYI that you can also use Facebook messanger ... to not only text but also MAKE PHONE CALLS.

Yes, you can.
