I was in one of the starboard cabins on the next cruise and the carpet was damp from the storm. As I said, I had one of the large fans in the room for a day o two and then the problem was gone.

And no, no way was it the fault of the Navigator - no way to control the weather!

Marcie - you meant Sept right? As I know we were on the same cruise:D

Actually Hurricane Linda did not cause any wet carpet issues, it was the nor'easter off the Carolina's from Charleston to New York that caused that, and yes we did have some water coming in from the balcony under the sliding doors on the starboard side, according to our room attendents most of the cabins on the starboard side had a problem, but the storm was blowing east to west and we had literally over a foot of water on the balcony on the last day, it was unavoidable.....and the staff was on top of it immediately putting towels down and bringing in fans and machines to suck the water up. It did not cause us any issues other than as Marcie said some damp carpet by the door, also as Marcie said, the storm was certainly not the fault of the Navigator, it was an unusual situation. and it was only on the very last day of the cruise, so it was never an ongoing issue.

Yes JoAnn, I stand corrected. I got confused since we stayed over in NYC post cruise.

what time do the nightly shows start. e are looking to book our meals and do not want to conflict with the shows.

I think it's 21.30 but I may be wrong. It's easy to forget times when you are on board and enjoying yourself. I am sure some will confirm the time if I have given you wrong info. It's nice being able to look forward to the holiday when you start booking your restruants. Have a wonderful cruise. Jean.

liptastic is correct, the shows usually begin at 9:30pm in the Seven Seas Lounge. Currently packing and getting ready to get off the Navigator tomorrow in Miami. Loved every night on board!

Thanks for the information. As always we are really looking forward to our cruise. Both my wife and I have learned to appreciate privacy and good service. If anyone has any tips on life aboard the Navigator we would appreciate it:)

Shawsie just go on board relax enjoy and you will have a great cruise. We both felt comfortable and relaxed on Navigator and the wonderful staff are there to ensure you have a great holiday. If there are any special requests you would like regarding food beverage excursions or privacy just ask and chat to the relevant staff. We have always found everyone helpful and approachable and they want you to enjoy your cruise.

It's an easy ship to be as involved in company if you wish and from our experience on the 2 Navigator cruises the friendliest mix of passengers and staff.

Jean.

This was our first trip on the Navigator and was chosen because of the itinerary. We have sailed on the Mariner several times as well as the Voyager. As far as the condition of the Navigator - it was beautiful except for some spots on the carpeting in the public areas. Our cabin was kept immaculate with no problems with brown water or AC.

We found the service to be outstanding as well as the food. Our only problem was having no Observation Lounge to watch the oncoming scenery. All of the excursions were wonderful, the Fall colors gorgeous! Please don't let a few negative responses discourage you. You'll have a wonderful trip!
