Hi Maggie2010,

You need to check whether my info is still valid, but .................

it's been RCI policy that you can buy a package whilst on-board at any time up to 3 (?) days before the end of a cruise, at the same pro-rata daily rate as buying for the whole cruise.

So you can sign-as-you-go for a day or two to get an idea of how much drink / money you get through, and to be bang up-to-date on prices, before deciding whether to sign up for the package.

Whenever you buy it must be for the remainder of the cruise, ie you can't choose particular days, and obviously you can't do it on short cruises.

If your hometown is Sydney, in Aus., on some cruise lines the grammatically-incorrect "gratuity" (drinks service charge) is rolled into the bar / wine prices, because they know that gratuities make Aussies see red. ;)

So check on the Aussie cruisers' page http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=712

as well as the RCI page linked by KK.

JB :)
