Where to get an old license plate?

Our our cruise last year, I forget which island, one of the little shops at the port was selling old used license plates for like $10. DH picked one up to hang in the garage, and now he wants to start collecting them from everywhere we go... Our upcoming cruise has a stop in Cozumel, and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a shop that sells these? Or where/how we could get one?

Did you cruise to Bonaire? They sell them there to raise money for animal shelters.

 

I think some of the artists in the plaza in San Miguel may have them or paint them for you. You can ask them or ask locals where to get them.

I've never seen any in souvenir shops.

We saw them for $5 in St. Marteen last year but I've not seen them in Cozumel.
