sunshinegal59 Posted November 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2015 Hey all, need a question answered before cruising this weekend. I know you cannot carry any alcohol onto the ship when boarding, but a few people have mentioned carrying on a bottle or two of wine. I know it is ok with Carnival but I am not sure about Royal Caribbean. Can someone clarify this for us? Thank you so much for your help!!! ;)

Ken at the beach Posted November 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) Also, Royal no longer has corkage fees so enjoy your wine anywhere on the ship. Edited November 18, 2015 by Ourusualbeach

As far as anywhere on the ship, ymmv. There have been recent reports of attempted corkage fee charges when consuming personal wine/champagne in onboard bars/lounges. But, any restaurants, public open spaces and in your cabin should never incur a corkage fee. tomko2 Posted November 19, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2015 That is good news about the waiving of corkage fees in dining room at least. Can anyone confirm whether it is still necessary to carry your wine onboard in your carry-on luggage and not put it in your suitcases? Thanks

Thanks Royal does not specify how you must carry on the wine, it's your choice. I would advise you to carry it on to reduce the potential for breakage and delay getting your luggage if they see something suspicious on the x-ray. Clarea Posted November 19, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 19, 2015 Can you bring a case or 2 of water? Technically against the rules, but frequently allowed.
