Cruizann Posted November 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2015 My DH and I are looking at a carribean cruise on the Nieuw Amsterdam. Our son will be with us. We are considering a stateroom above the showroom at sea on deck 4 (a deeper balcony with metal railings). Would we hear a lot of noise from the showroom? We could also choose a stateroom at the front of deck 7 the rotterdam deck. The bridge and some empty space would be above us and would there be any nose from there? We do appreciate your advise. catl331 Posted November 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2015 I think the deck 7 cabins would be a safer bet to be quiet. That isn't empty space behind the bridge, but officer's cabins.

Krazy Kruizers Posted November 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2015 I also would choose the Deck 7 over Deck 4. Deck 4 -- you can have some shows that are quite loud above you.

skoggs25 Posted November 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) We cruised in room 4033 on the Westerdam and did not hear a thing from the showroom. I would not hesitate to book a room in the same location on a future cruise. The balconies are also a little larger on deck 4.
