Redchad Posted November 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2015 I am aware they show some games onboard but does anyone know if they show the 3pm games. Because in England TV stations are not allowed to broadcast them.

scrosso Posted November 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2015 They show some games, and some are on repeat. Usually 3pm saturday, the 4pm sunday, and the monday evening game. You have no choice of games what ever the satellite is showing. You can find the guide here - http://www.sport24-tv.com/Schedule The signal is not always the best, so you may get some patchy viewing. Toffeegirl68 Posted November 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 23, 2015 As others have confirmed the footie is shown when available though we've never experienced signal issues on a TA. On one of our first voyages (2006 or 2008?) the pub was getting so busy ahead of the Champions League final that they screened it on the cinema too. If the trivia quiz clashes with the advertised football then they will relocate the quiz :) In these cases, its amusing to see people arrive 'early' to grab a seat for the quiz and then sit there for a few minutes very pleased with themselves having bagged a table... until more time passes, few others are arriving .... and they realise that they are in the wrong place! Sorry, but it is quite funny to watch. Another classic we have witnessed was a couple who had obviously relocated from the Chart Room to the pub to avoid the relocated quiz. On arriving in the pub, accompanied by the waiter who had fetched their drinks / ice bucket down, they asked him to have the sound on the TV turned off! (Everton were playing, so that was NEVER going to happen :) )

branston boy Posted November 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) On Queen Elizabeth last year Arsenal,my team, were beng televised so I got into the pub in time to get a good seat. The chap and his wife sat in front of me were both wearing Arsenal shirts. The chap had had a few before kick off and needed to pay a visit, you guessed it Arsenal scored.Just as the teams came back on the field for the second half he had to go again.Arsenal attacked immediately and were awarded a penalty. The man reappeared just in time to see the celebrations.I have to say all the people sat close to the chap had a good laugh at his expense. Thanks for the link. Unfortunately they completely ignore the Championship so I will miss my team Hull City who are playing Friday night; and that's despite the fact we are top. (Can we end the season now please :D)
paper tiger Posted November 24, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 24, 2015 We have just returned from the 5th November Southampton to New York crossing and I would just like to add that the matches were shown on the TVs in the stateroom, much to my husband's joy and my dismay.
