Upgrade/Upsell

This is my first time booking with a TA, will I get any calls for upgrades or upsells? will my agent?

Your travel agent may or may not get an free upgrade or upsell. They is no specific reason why this happens. In my thirty plus cruises since I got hooked way back in May 1983 I have received only one free upgrade on the Carnival Paradise in October 2001 and numerous upsells from Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and NCL. If the week you pick has slow sales you may receive a call and if that week has strong sales you likely will not. Most ships sail at capacity every week.

I believe if carnival were to call to up sell or upgrade your cabin they would have to contact your TA. They will not speak with you when you have a TA.
