tlreze Posted December 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2015 I can't decide if we want to go to Boatyard or just have a cab take us to Accra (buckley) beach and then walk the boardwalk. Are there places to rent chairs at Accra beach? As you walk the boardwalk are there places to stop and enjoy the beach/water along the way - like small beaches etc? We are looking for a nice place to relax and then enjoy the scenery so we don't need all the water toys etc that Boatyard offers.
macaroni Posted December 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2015 Accra and the boardwalk is what you want. Our first cruise to Barbados we took a taxi to the Hilton and walked along the beach to the boardwalk...followed that to the end which is Accra beach...rented some lounges, enjoyed a great beach without all those water toys...walked across the street to "just grillin"for a delicious flying fish sandwich...went back to the beach and then took a taxi back to the ship. It was such a great day that we didn't want to get back on the ship...after that we have spent land vacations there and stopped cruising for a while...just love Accra! muskatnuss Posted December 5, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2015 http://www.barbados.org/tours/barbadostaxis.htm#.VmLFHYKFOHs Might cost 10 to 12 US$. To the St. Lawrence Gap, it costs 15UD$.
