Sailed Thanksgiving weekend on a 3 night Bahamas quick getaway. The last time I was on her was 2009 and surprisingly she still looks great. This was a solo trip for me. My 4th cruise this year alone (I love cruising). I’m a very young single 50 year old. Embarkation was painless. From taxi cab to ship approximately 30-40 minutes tops. I felt welcomed as soon as I crossed the threshold and knew I was in for a good time. I immediately went to make my dinner reservations for Cagney’s at 6pm on Saturday. Only one in line. Took 3 minutes tops. I had lunch at the buffet. They did not allow us to have lunch in the MDR. The buffet was good. Not great. I have yet to have an outstanding buffet on any cruise line. Great selection. Something for everybody.

Before you knew it, the rooms were ready. I had an inside mid ship cabin on the Rivera Deck. Great quiet location. It was very windy in Miami and Bahamas so we did not get to go to GSC. Bummer. I love this island! But hey, what are you going to do. As long as my Nook is fully charged I'm good. I made the best of it and the free rum punch helped. In Nassau, I walked to Senior Frogs and had a delicious drink and BBQ wings. The food was ok. I would try something different next time. It was nice hanging out overlooking the water while sipping a tropical drink.

Cagney's was great. The food was delicious. I had to pace myself to make sure I had room for my steak. I have no problem dining alone. It kind of liberating lol Only complaint is no warm bread. Come on Norwegian, put a little heat on your bread so at least the butter would melt. Had a good time in the Casino. Walked away with a few dollars in my pocket.

This trip served its purpose. R&R. My flight home was late in the evening so I did the Hop on Hop off bus tour in Miami. Toured South Beach and had lunch at Bubba Gump's Shrimp restaurant. Great food and wonderful place to people watch. The tour company stored my bags and had a free shuttle to Ft. Lauderdale airport for my flight home. LOVED IT!! Please let me know if you have any questions!

We have a late flight out of Ft Lauderdale as well. What was the name of the tour company? How did the shuttle/baggage storage work (and price?). Thanks!
