TSLady Posted December 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2015 We are sailing on Volendam leaving Singapore on 22nd December (two weeks time) for 14 nights. What do you think our chances of getting any of the new suite perks are since technically we are sailing in 2016. I know we won't be getting the dry dock updates but mimosas for breakfast would be nice :). We've never had a Neptune suite before so everything will be special regardless, but some of the new amenities do sound good.
sail7seas Posted December 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) Can't say for sure but I would expect the new benefits will go into effect for cruises boarding in 2016. Have a great cruise. You certainly can order a mimosa in Pinnacle Grill if you wish to have one assuming it isn't included as a benefit yet. Krazy Kruizers Posted December 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2015 Since HAL has indicated that the new perks for the PS and Neptune suites will begin in January, as a rule that means that they will begin with the first cruise starting on a January date or even later. I wouldn't count on it starting any earlier.
TSLady Posted December 8, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted December 8, 2015 I thought that might be the case. I'm sure everything else will be amazing anyway. Thanks for the replies.
take us away Posted December 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2015 I thought that might be the case. I'm sure everything else will be amazing anyway. Thanks for the replies. But if you nicely ask for the new perks after 01 Jan, you may get a surprise. Worst that would happen is nothing.
Lis2065 Posted December 8, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 8, 2015 Enjoy your cruise and Neptune suite. We were surprised by how much sparkling wine we were given last cruise when we were in a Neptune suite - just lovely. It seemed every time we turned around a bottle appeared in our suite! Well if that's the case I'll order an orange juice and add my own bubbles [emoji12]
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 8, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 8, 2015 I was just reading a thread about the Nieuw Amsterdam. Seems that in the Lido, they are going around at breakfast with a cart that has Bloody Mary's and Mimosas -- but you do have to pay for them. Squeaky wheel rule may apply...i.e., if they don't offer you mimosas talk to the concierge and politely but firmly tell them you expect the "non-construction" related amenities Mr. Ashford promised.
