CruisinDawn Posted December 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Heard one ship was having a medical emergency but the person was in the infirmary. But there was 8 ships in port tonight so a tight squeeze leaving I am sure. BonVoyage Dawna

buchananglasgow Posted December 20, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted December 20, 2015 I heard earlier in the day there was a "situation" on the carnival but she is gone now. Navigator is going now, she is the last one apart from Allure who should have left at 4.30pm.
buchananglasgow Posted December 20, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted December 20, 2015 I love watching her leave but it's now 11pm in the uk and past my bedtime as I'm up at 5am for work. Hate going to bed and she is still in port.
gr8.guy Posted December 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 20, 2015 An earlier post mentions strong winds in the turning basin requiring some ships to call on a tug to assist and there is a small craft advisory currently in place and the channel may be choked up with small vessels trying to get back into the marina or Allure is waiting on a window of calmer weather. Rare A&L_Ont Posted December 20, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Whatever the case she is moving now, with a container ship leading the way.
Dinkachu Posted December 21, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Anyone on the allure just now. Do you know why she is still in port ? One of the ship's officers told us there were delays due to Allure being last to leave port and a ship ahead of us was delayed. The official announcement was that we would be leaving when it was 'safe' to begin our journey. It was BLUSTERY in Ft. Lauderdale today. Oceania was cancelled. The ship is a rocking! But we don't mind one bit. A rough weather day at sea is better than a day on solid ground.
