vmontell26 Posted December 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2015 Hi. I am hoping that someone can help me out. I was reading the Reflection dailies that someone had posted for the Eastern Caribbean itinerary. I noticed that it stated that San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Martin are one hour ahead of the ship but to stay on the ship's time. My concern is that the ship's arrival is 8am and I have a sailing excursion planned for St. Thomas where we are being picked up at 8:30am local St. Thomas time (tour operator advised that some ships don't change clocks but they work on local time). That seems to me that would be 7:30am ship time and I would need to change pick up time, correct?
Gordoncruickshank Posted December 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2015 Ship time changes with time zones. Most of the Caribbean is an hour ahead and the ship time reflects this. The ships clocks will move 1 hour forward overnight before you reach San Juan. It will be well published and the waiters will remind you.
LadyLion_AP Posted December 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 22, 2015 Hi. I'm on Reflection now waiting for our Ferry back to St. Thomas. You are correct. They are one hour ahead of ship's time until we spring forward. If you booked with a tour company other than Celebrity you'll need to account for that as well as the time it'll take you to get off the ship. (Add about 1 1/2-2 hours after the arrival time). LadyLion_AP Posted December 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 22, 2015 Also...we were asked to stay on ship's time for the entire cruise.
