You can buy as many as you want, there is no limit. Coming back to the US there is a limit of 1 liter that is duty free, that doesn't meant that you can't bring more than that back, it just means you pay the duty on the excess.

1 liter per adult duty free but no overall limit before you have to pay duty. I have declared several extra bottles a few times and they have never made me pay the duty.
