Hello everyone. I am new here. We are taking a cruise in May 2016 to Europe. This will be our first trip to Europe. We are trying to decide between the MSC Proesia or the Princess Royal Princess. Room categories would be a balcony level/suite in both boats. Any suggestions or comments on the cruise lines would be appreciated.

thank you & happy holidays!

MSC Poesia is a nice ship to sail on, not overcrowded and mid ship size at around 90,000 tons whereas the Royal Princess is much larger, having sailed on the Divina which felt overcrowded we prefer the mid range MSC ships despite having sailed on Oasis of the seas! although there is much more room on Oasis.

Both ships are beautiful and will give you a different experience the Poesia will cheaper. Tough choice.

What are the itineraries for both?

One thing to consider is how European aEuropean holiday you want. On the Poesia there will be barely any American passengers onboard, so will have a European experience on land and onboard. This mY be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preferences and adaptability. Some would see this as exciting and interesting and part of being overseas. Others would be completely out of their comfort zone and prefera ship predominantly catering for their nationality. It can be hard to tell which you're going to be if you have never been overseas.
