Drink Package questions...

 Share

Recommended Posts

So, we board at 8:30pm on Sat, May 27th and disembark Sat. June 4th. If you buy a drink package do they charge for both Saturdays?

Also, each of us has a $150 onboard credit. Can we use that toward our drink package? Then if so, I bet we have to wait to get onboard to purchase :)

Thanks!

Last week on the Allure we bought when we got on board as we always do, they charged $55/per night for the premium, a couple of hours later we started looking at our receipt and realized it was $49/night online, I called Royal and they said it should be the $49/night. At the same time we were let into our stateroom and found an offer on the bed for $49/night if purchased on Day 1. We had a bit of fight with one of the bartenders to get our charge corrected but at that price we were not going to give up. I'm sure there were many who were charged more as there were 6 of us in our group and we were all charged the higher rate. Use caution if you prefer a certain type of wine, they may tell you its included in the pacakge and then you later find out they are out of it all and try to give you a cheaper one or get you to pay an upcharge by taking a higher level of wine.

Just a word of caution.

Did they charge you $55 per night or $55 plus gratuity? The price is $49 plus gratuity which comes to about $57 a night.

$55 plus gratuity, it was a mess but at $77 per person x 6 of us were not going to let up. They were surprised we caught on, looks like from the previous cabin guest they were also charged the $49, final total was $404.43 each.

You mean, they had left their receipt in the cabin and no one had cleaned it up? ;)

Yes exactly! Along with trash in the can, and belongings left in the drawers, we had 3 cabins next to each other and all 3 had the same attendant and the same issue!
