Getaway cabin phone question

Anyone that has recently sailed on the Getaway - did you notice how much it is to call the US from the room on sailing days. I have elderly parents, and hope to call them every day, even on sailing days.

I can't remember. But if you have a cell phone, the cellular at sea cell phone rates from your service provider are cheaper...somewhere around $2.50 a minute...maybe less.

 

 

I just looked at a Freestyle Daily from about a month ago. Cabin phone rates were $4.99 a minute.

Yes, call your cell phone provider for special pricing - we get a 30 Day international rate special on one of our phones through AT&T

 

Besides the hourly rates posted, there are a lot of taxes and other charges that mount up quickly - please check before coming home to a huge bill.

 

Can you communicate with them via emai? Or email them through a family member?

I called Verizon. It was $40 for 100 minutes, 100 outgoing texts and 100 mb of data.
