Help! First time on Epic, should we take this upgrade?

We're currently booked in a large balcony cabin on deck 10 and have the opportunity to upgrade to an aft facing balcony for $70.

I know it's subjective, but is this a worthwhile upgrade and if so, which deck should we aim for?

Yes, you should, the balcony is much bigger and the view is awesome. Was in one in June and loved it.

Actually, the aft-facing balcony would be smaller than the side-facing one we've currently booked, and that's one of the reasons I wouldn't take the upgrade.

Oh I would take that upgrade in a heartbeat! Well worth $70 dollars for the view alone!

We were on Deck 13 and only once had an issue (tiny!) with noise from Spice H20........and that was the night of the White Hot Party and we could hear a dull thump from the music when we sat out on the balcony. With the door closed....no problem!

Personally we wouldn't take it because Mr C doesn't like being on Aft, and there is more movement/noise in this area. For me I don't mind because I take seasickness tablets anyway and sleep well (partly because of the tablets) and love the amazing view of the wake. However, when Mr C gets in from the Casino in the early hours it's not long before arriving in port and he found it woke him up quite often (and he suffered with sea sickness for the first time).
