NOLA - hyatt Regency near superdome

We just booked a pre cruise stay last night here. I did stay there a few years back and we did not mind it one bit. Granted we got in late and headed to the ship early. This time we are going down 2 days early :) I booked via Last Minute Travel Club for $74 a night. I could not believe the price never see hotels that cheap. I'm just wondering if the hotel has gone downhill or something? Or am I just super lucky to find this deal?

It hasn't gone downhill at all. It is still arguably the nicest hotel in New Orleans. I sometimes get good deals for it on Hotwire.

Actually it's fairly new having been totally rebuilt after a certain storm and only recently reopening. It's not in the French Quarter and that could account for the low price. Not a lot of attractions in the area, but for the great price you are getting it for, you can spring for cabs. Enjoy.
