Pacific Princess -- about the beds

We are doing the world cruise leaving in 16 days from LA on the beautiful Pacific Princess.

 

Anybody know the status of the beds? Last time we sailed on her they were a little hard, and we were considering getting a memory foam pad shipped to LA (love you Amazon). But if the beds are new we might not need to.

 

Also, I remember the beds as queen sized, but they do seem a tad wider than our queen at home. Anybody know what size pad I should get?

I was on the 50th anniversary cruise in December aboard the Pacific Princess and the mattresses are hard. I would get the foam pad. I agree too that they seem a little wider than a queen. Can't give you a sure answer.

Another vote for a mattress topper and congrats on doing a world cruise. That's on my bucket list.:D

How exciting! World cruise! I too was on the 50th anniversary cruise in December, and I thought the mattress was a bit too soft. I guess it's another one of those subjective things. :)
