Hiking in St John

We may do a hike in St. John and then have a meal before we head back to St. Thomas.

Any recommendations on areas in St. John that might be good for hiking would be appreciated. Also, any casual seafood restaurant recommendations would be great. :):):)

If you are on a cruise, your hiking options are limited because getting to the trails and back to the ferry may be a challenge.

IMO, the Caneel Hill trail is a great hike with gorgeous views. Most people are going to recommend the easier Lind Point trail, but that trail can get very crowded. Easy to get a taxi back at the end of Caneel Hill because it ends at a resort where taxis are waiting.

There isn't a dedicated seafood restaurant and all the restaurants are pretty casual during the day.

How do you get to the Caneel Hill trail?

You can walk to it from the ferry dock. Google for a Cruz Bay map. Find Mongoose Junction on the map. The trail is just east of Mongoose. The national Park Service has a hiking trail map as does the Trail. Bandit. Google those, too.

So from the Ferry dock that is to the left when leaving the terminal? Does this trail lead to a beach?
