alphawave1 Posted January 20, 2016 #151 Share Posted January 20, 2016 On the Grandeur last week, I ordered the drink of the day when I got on. It was $12.50 with gratuity. It used to be that the DOD was inexpensive. Decided then and there to purchase the beverage package! I guess that's their plan. [emoji4]. But I enjoyed it! I am going to purchase for the last 5 days of cruise coming up, the Ultimate package, and I am therefore going to use some onboard cruise credits. I am told by RCCI that the price includes the 18% gratuity. Is that not correct? Also I am usually ordering wine by glass and things like tangueray martinis or margaritas. From the gist of this thread I am now wondering if these common drinks are too expensive? Anyone know?
clarky213 Posted January 23, 2016 Author #152 Share Posted January 23, 2016 i think 18% for taking the top off the bottle is obscene. They do a lot more than that, if you don't want to pay the 18%, then don't drink!
tocanada Posted January 23, 2016 #153 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Cost to purchase the ultimate drink package for my Explorer cruise from Sydney to Seattle is over $1,600 per person. Cruise is 24 nights long. I wish there were other options available on these long cruises. Andrew

That should be a blast, and those port stops look awesome as well! :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
