Taxi from WI Cruise Dock into town?

I see everything about getting to all the various beaches, but how about the quick ride over to town? How much are those cabs, or, is there a safe walking path?

There is a sidewalk along the waterfront. It is one mile and safe. Or $4 each taxi ride...

Are there a lot of vendors and pushers on the sidewalk like you would find in Jamaica or is it like town and just the usual folks going to and from the ship on it?

Mostly cruisers walking to town. A few runners and locals power walking or walking for exercise.

Be sure to walk through the yacht marina instead of along the road in front of Wendy's. It's a bit shorter walk and definitely more scenic.

Also, if you are walking along the waterfront, please wear a shirt. It is offensive to the local population (for ladies) to wear a bathing suit or (for men) to go topless. :D
