Jezo Posted January 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2016 I see everything about getting to all the various beaches, but how about the quick ride over to town? How much are those cabs, or, is there a safe walking path?
O2B@Cagain Posted January 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2016 There is a sidewalk along the waterfront. It is one mile and safe. Or $4 each taxi ride...
Jezo Posted January 11, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 11, 2016 There is a sidewalk along the waterfront. It is one mile and safe. Or $4 each taxi ride... Are there a lot of vendors and pushers on the sidewalk like you would find in Jamaica or is it like town and just the usual folks going to and from the ship on it? Ms411 Posted January 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2016 Mostly cruisers walking to town. A few runners and locals power walking or walking for exercise.
Ms411 Posted January 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Be sure to walk through the yacht marina instead of along the road in front of Wendy's. It's a bit shorter walk and definitely more scenic.
O2B@Cagain Posted January 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Also, if you are walking along the waterfront, please wear a shirt. It is offensive to the local population (for ladies) to wear a bathing suit or (for men) to go topless. :D
