Ncl Dawn 12/11/05 11 Day

Jumped ship and changed form the NCL Spirit on 12/8 to the NCL Dawn on 12/11/05.

 

Anyone else sailing?

Will just miss you by a few weeks. We are sailing on the Dawn 1/2/06 1o day. Was on the Dawn last January and loved it. Can hardly wait. Anyone else booking?

......Steve and Duane here....we'll be on the 12/11 sailing from NYC..I'm from NJ--Duane is from NY state. We went on the Dawn last year for the pre Christmas Eastern Caribbean and had a great time.

Last year out of 2500 passengers about 8 showed up at the FOD..they had one every night at the Star bar--we only went the second night and stopped in when we went to Cagney's for dinner (it was on the same deck--right outside the entrance to Cagneys)

Cool about the FOD meetings. I plan on hanging in the Star Bar because I hear the Martinis there are excellent.

 

Do you recall the hours for the health club and the sauna/steams room?

Actually we never used the health club or the steam/sauna..we walked through a few times and the place was overrun by Older (65-85) men and woman. We had a huge population of Russian speaking people from Brooklyn on our cruise..we stayed outside in the sun/ppol area at sea after battling for lunge chairs LOL

I believe the gym section of the spa is open 24 hours. That includes the weights, bikes, treadmills. The spa (sauna, steam, etc) closes around 10pm, I think. My sailing also had a huge group of Russians from Brooklyn. They did tend to take over the spa. But after 4pm or so, they were not around. I did notice that after 4 or 5pm, the steam/sauna attracted more of the ships crew, performers, etc. There was a definate "energy" in the air. Enjoy your trip, I know I can't wait to get back on the Dawn on January 2.
