Hotels Near Venice Port

Can anyone advise the names of decent Hotels near the Port of Venice, Italy, and how far they are from the port.

We stayed at the Hotel Antiche Figure which is located directly across the Grand Canal from the trainstation. It was a very nice hotel with excellent access to the vaporetto system. It is close to the port but on the other side of the canal. So you would have to cross a couple of bridges which is always difficult with luggage. I don't think there are any nice hotels any closer though.

 

I would recommend that you get a good map of Venice so that you can see where everything is and compare the locations when you start looking at hotels because the pricing is more important than close to the port. Everything is pretty close as long as you are in Venice and not on the mainland or you are not on the out islands.
