mared1 Posted October 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2005 Just checked for seat assignments on a flight I had booked in July on Northwest only to find our they have cancelled my return flight - I wasn't notified by Northwest so called them today - I either have to take a flight a day before I orginally booked or take a late flight on the next day. I was told they are cutting back some of their flights. Wish they would have contacted me! Would have been quite the surprise if I waited and checked the day before we were to leave  at least we aren't leaving until January so have time to decide which of the 2 flights offered we should go on. jnc411 Posted October 6, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2005 Hi, thanks for the heads up on this. My son is booked right after Christmas on a KLM which is a Northwest partner airline. I will keep checking that flight now to be sure it doesn't change. Thanks again. Cori
TrentS Posted October 6, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2005 It's not just Northwest, they all seem to be doing this... Everyone needs to keep track of their flights practically on a daily basis. :(
jimc_usa Posted October 11, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2005 Even without bankruptcies. The ever increasing cost of fuel is forcing the airlines to fly FULL. Which means some flights will be removed to save money. As I said in another thread - sign up for email notification from the airlines!
