My understanding from this and other DCL boards is that they discontinued that practice last fall, but perhaps someone who has sailed more recently than I have can talk about their recent experiences.

We were at the Disney Fantasy a month ago. They no longer accepted this request. I tried to get signatures for a photo matte. You now need to meet the characters during the character appearance and ask for their signatures. I do not know about Disney Dream.

No, the drop off service was discontinued many months ago. You can take your item with you to the various characters and ask them to sign it.
