Princess vs NCL and RCI

One of the things I like about RCI is that there is always some help or wheel chair assistance at every port we go to.

Here are some "off road" wheel chairs at RCI's Labadee "island" destination. They have giant tires so they can be used in the sand. I usually tip the "pushers" $3 to $6 depending on how far we ask them to push us.

I am surprised that you had problems because when school is in session the majority of cruisers usually seems to be older (like us) people who have limited walking skills.

We take rollators (walkers with 4 wheels and a seat for resting) on every cruise because the piers are so long that we cannot walk from the ship to the terminal or back without resting.

Of course when we try to get a taxi to tour the island there never seems to be enough room for our walkers in the trunk of the smaller ones. So we usually have to pay extra for a van which can hold us and out rollators.

Diamond on RCCL and 10th cruise on Princess. We feel there is more variation between ships than lines.

-RCCL food is good but tends to be bland. Catering to an older crowd. We prefer the food on Princess. Again more variation between ships. Food in Europe always seems to be better for both.

-Wine is definitely cheaper on Princess.

-Tend to prefer the ship layouts on RCCL.

-Have never had a real service issue with either

-Shows are better on RCCL although once again, best on Princess is better than Average RCCL.

-Recently we have found Princess cheaper for pretty much all similar cruises.

-Expect to pay a premium for Oasis and Allure (haven't done them yet). No real premium for Royal/Regal
