Help! First time to be wait listed !

This is our fifth carnival cruise and my cruise manager says we are wait listed for early dining. Do y'all think I should switch to anytime dining or is there a good chance it will work out for early dining? Its the first time this ever happened in our booking

Id switch...waitlisted on 3 cruises and have never gotten the time we asked for originally.

Anytime dining gives you more flexibility. I would switch to ATD, then if you still want Early talk to Maitre D once on board. Good luck.

Plus, with YTD, you can request to be seated in the same area each night, if you enjoy your wait staff.

I would change to YTD.

If you want to eat at 6pm I would wait. On the Pride the last few times YTD had a long line around the 6pm time frame. You can always switch to YTD at any point. We have wait listed on our last four cruises and got the time we wanted each time.

We had this situation in the past many times and never was able to get early..but now our kids are older and we rather eat later but not too late (8:30 is too late) usually around 7-7:30, we love My Time Dining and if you want the same waiter or area to eat, just request it they always accommodate what we ask for.

We got wait listed for YTD last Sunday when we booked our Spring Break cruise. By Wednesday we were confirmed to YTD. I'd give it a few days to see if it may change to confirmed.

We asked for early dining as I have a health issue that does not do well with late dining. We are wait listed.

CCL cruise specialist asked what my 2nd choice would be and I told her Anytime dining.

Nothing has changed when I login to our account. I called. Response was that Anytime or MyTime had NO availability.

Should I make an attempt to see the Maitre D when we board?
